Relocating for work

What makes it hard

A new job, a new city and no time to look

The start date does not move

You have weeks, not months. Good flats in Valencia go in days, and you cannot fly over every weekend to view them.

Stuck in temporary accommodation

A serviced flat or hotel for "two weeks" turns into two months, paid by you or eating your relocation budget.

A commute you did not plan

The Parque Tecnológico in Paterna, the port or a hospital on the edge of the city: a flat that looks central can mean an hour each way.

Your family is still back home

Often you come first and the family follows. You need a home that works for all of you, chosen while you are learning a new job.

What I do for you

Your move, handled around your working week

A plan built back from your start date

We fix when you need the keys and work backwards: strategy call, search, viewings and signing, with a written timeline you can share with HR.

Areas chosen for your commute

I check real door-to-door times to your workplace at rush hour, by car, metro, tram or bike, before I put a flat on your shortlist.

A short-term base while we search

If you arrive before the keys, I tell you which areas and types of temporary rental make sense so you are not paying for a hotel across town.

Viewings while you work

With Complete Search I do up to five viewings on live video on your behalf, so you can join from the office or from abroad.

Invoice to you or your company

If your employer pays or reimburses relocation, I can issue the invoice in the company name and send the documents your HR team needs.

Ready for the family to join

If your partner and children come later, I can add schools and health cards with the Family Pack so everything is ready when they land.

Coming alone or with the family

Complete Search covers most people moving for a job. If children are coming now or later, the Family Pack adds school search and health cards.

Close to work

Where to live depending on where you work

Valencia is compact, but your workplace changes which areas make sense. These are the combinations I look at most.

Campanar and Benicalap

Newer flats on the side of the city closest to the Parque Tecnológico in Paterna, with quick access to the CV-35.

Godella, Rocafort and Bétera

Houses with gardens and international schools nearby, a short drive from the Parque Tecnológico. Best if a car is part of the plan.

Benimaclet and Algirós

Next to the UPV and University of Valencia campuses on Avenida de los Naranjos, and close to the Hospital Clínico.

El Cabanyal and Camins al Grau

The closest residential areas to the Port of Valencia, with the beach and tram to the centre.

L'Eixample and Pla del Real

Central, walkable and well connected for offices in the city centre and around Blasco Ibáñez.

Patraix and Malilla

Practical, more affordable areas on the south side, close to the Hospital La Fe.

FAQ

Questions from people moving for work

How far ahead should I start?

Ideally four to six weeks before you need the keys. The search is included for up to one month, and most landlords in Valencia want tenants to move in within a few weeks of signing.

Can my company pay you directly?

Yes. I can issue the invoice in your employer's name, or in yours if they reimburse you. Tell me on the first call so the service agreement goes to the right person.

My company already gives me a relocation package. Do I still need you?

Many packages cover the move, flights or temporary housing but not the home search itself. Send me what yours includes and I will tell you honestly what is missing.

I am coming first and my family later. How does that work?

We search for the home the whole family needs, not a flat for one. If children are joining, the Family Pack adds school search and enrolment and health cards, so it is all ready when they arrive.

Can I sign with a new employment contract or just an offer letter?

Usually yes. A signed contract or offer letter from a known employer is often stronger than months of payslips. I present it with the rest of your documents in the format landlords and insurers ask for.

How much does it cost?

Complete Search is €1,500 + VAT (€1,815) and the Family Pack is €2,100 + VAT (€2,541). Half when you sign the service agreement and half when you sign your lease. No lease, no second payment.

Do you handle my work permit or NIE?

No. Your employer or an immigration lawyer handles permits, NIE and TIE. I can come with you to an official appointment, such as fingerprinting for the TIE, as an extra.
