Privacy policy
Moving house means sharing passports, payslips and details about your children. Here is exactly what I do with them.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Hola Home collects, why, for how long and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is ECO CITY INTERNATIONAL LLC, trading as Hola Home, EIN 30-1356934, 34 N Franklin Ave Ste 687 #5318, Pinedale, WY 82941, United States. Contact for any privacy matter: info@holahomespain.com.
2. What data I collect
- When you contact me or book a call: name, email, phone, country, moving dates, family situation and whatever you choose to tell me about your move.
- When you hire a service: identity documents (passport, NIE/TIE), proof of income and employment for the solvency file, address, payment and invoicing data, and information about your children needed for school applications.
- Children's health or special educational needs: only if you choose to share them and give explicit consent, and only to search for a school and share them with the schools you approve.
- When you browse the site: if you accept cookies, measurement data (pages visited, device, approximate location, how you arrived). See the cookie policy.
I do not receive your full card number: card payments are handled by Stripe.
3. Why I use it and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiries and free calls | Steps at your request before a contract (art. 6.1.b) and legitimate interest in replying to you (art. 6.1.f) |
| Delivering the service you hire: search, viewings, solvency file, school and paperwork | Performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b) |
| Children's health or educational-needs data | Explicit consent (art. 9.2.a), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Invoicing, accounting and tax obligations | Legal obligation (art. 6.1.c) |
| Measuring site use and advertising results (Google Analytics, Meta) | Your consent (art. 6.1.a), given through the cookie banner |
I make no automated decisions or profiles that have legal effects on you.
4. How long I keep it
- Identity and solvency documents (passports, NIE/TIE, payslips, bank statements, tax returns, children's documents): deleted 3 months after your file is closed.
- Agreement, invoices and payment records: kept, with access restricted, for the periods required by tax and commercial law, then deleted.
- Basic client record (name, contact, service, dates): while legal claims could arise.
- Enquiries that do not become a service: while I handle your request and up to 12 months afterwards, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
- Measurement data: according to the cookie durations in the cookie policy.
5. Who receives your data
- Landlords and agencies: only with your authorisation, to present your file for the homes you decide to apply for.
- Schools and public authorities: only when needed for the service you hired (school applications, padrón, health card).
- Service providers acting on my behalf under data processing agreements: website hosting on a VPS located in the EU; Stripe, for card payments; email, storage and messaging tools.
- Google and Meta: measurement and advertising data only if you accept those cookies.
- Tax authorities and courts when the law requires it.
I never sell your data.
6. International transfers
Some providers (Stripe, Google and Meta) may process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. In those cases the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified, or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw any consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to info@holahomespain.com saying which right you want to exercise. I may ask you to confirm your identity. I will reply within one month.
If you think your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es) or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
8. Data about other people
If you give me data about your partner or children, you confirm that you are entitled to do so and, for children, that you hold parental authority or guardianship. Where school choice or padrón registration requires it, you also confirm that you have the other parent's consent.
9. Security and changes
I keep documents in access-controlled tools and share them only for the purposes above. If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page and, if the change is significant, tell current clients by email.
